Fun Fact: The Charlotte Hospital opened in 1947 with 22 beds. Before that time, people traveled to Fort Myers or Arcadia to go to a hospital.

Deep Creek is located in Charlotte County, just across the Peace River from historic downtown Punta Gorda, Florida. Deep Creek’s community of more than 7,200 homesites is divided into two county designated sections, Section 23 and 20. Properties south of Sandhill Blvd. are in Section 23 and properties north of Sandhill Blvd. are in Section 20. Each section operates independently with separate bylaws and deed restrictions. The website information contained herein is for Section 23 property owners.

Our community is surrounded by serene, wooded areas and boasts six freshwater lakes, canals and beautiful views. Managed and maintained by the Association, Section 23 has spacious greenbelts primarily to accommodate drainage, but also providing a buffer between homes. It offers plenty of opportunities to see wildlife, go fishing or birdwatching, or play golf at the challenging 18-hole semi-private golf course! While offering a more tranquil country feel, the community has two exit points very near I-75 and is close to city life in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda.

Our vibrant growing community enjoys a diverse demographic of residents from young growing families to retired couples. Originally designed in the early 1980s, Deep Creek Section 23 is about 85% developed and features a blend of older and new construction homes and condominiums.

Our deed-restricted community is managed by the Section 23 Property Owners Association comprised of a small staff and volunteer board members who live in the community. This cost-effective operating structure means a very low annual assessment that helps ensure all homes and common areas in the community are well taken care of, and uniform building standards are maintained to keep the neighborhood looking great and property values high.
